2020 — Present · Minneapolis, MN · Remote since 2024- Senior Software Engineer · 2023 — PresentLead engineering in Target's HR technology space, architecting internal scheduling and workforce-timekeeping systems. Driving the multi-year migration of Target's legacy planning tools to UKG Pro WFM as the enterprise source of truth. Twice delivered production-ready systems within 24 hours of an urgent feasibility request.
- Software Engineer & TLP Program · 2020 — 2023Full-stack developer on the myTime for Target React + Ionic app, deployed to over 250,000 store team members. Built shift pickup/drop features and the SQL schemas, APIs, and Figma mockups behind them. Built a Neo4j server-dependency tool and demoed it to Target's CIO and 200+ technology leaders.

The XRP Ledger, live
I'm deeply interested in payments infrastructure and distributed ledgers, and the best way to learn a system is to build against it. This is XRPL mainnet in real time — a WebSocket subscription to the public ledger and transaction streams, live market data, and the monetary economics behind thin-float assets. The XRPL closes a ledger every 3–5 seconds through its consensus protocol: no mining and no staking — trusted validators agree on a transaction set, apply it deterministically, and the network moves on. Fiat-denominated transactions on the globe are anchored to their currency's home financial center.

How I build
Anything can be done
I'm optimistic by default: given a real problem, there's a way to solve it. I choose the right tech for the job rather than the familiar one — and a fairly deep understanding of software systems and security means I can make it happen, from graph databases to microcontrollers to ledger streams.
Pragmatic & value-driven
I build only what earns its place. Stripping out unnecessary layers keeps products shipping cleanly, performing well, and solving the customer's actual need.
AI as a working tool
I've used Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini in production and enterprise pipelines since they launched — to move faster, sharpen logic, and build intelligent features that hold up in the real world.
Builder at heart
For fun, I designed and 3D-printed a desktop companion robot — a Waveshare display wired to a custom-programmed microcontroller for animated eye expressions, driven by a local Mac Mini handler that takes voice queries, calls LLMs, and synthesizes speech in real time.
